Doh!!!!

I tried the figures you suggested, but it still didn't work! So, I worked the figures down by approximately 10% as you suggested before, and eventually fine-tuned the Max Polys/Object value to 8387 (one less that the total poly size?!), and reverted the Max Faces/Primitive value to 2800. All views now work correctly - Thank You!!

I don't know whether the original poster is a newbie or not, but if he is, it is asking rather a lot for him to carry out this sort of correction! I believe it's against the rules to send him the corrected file, so I have applied a comment to the download, and hope Clive sees it and offers an amendment.

Cheers,
Ged
Whilst I'm not a train-sim newbie, I am a newbie to THIS side of sim-correction. o_o Your post kidna made my head spin if that was any indication! I hope we can get permission to get the fixed .s out though. Glad to at least hear someone had gotten a fix.

And to clear something up, no I DID mean #5 view, I just had a trail of MK1 cars behind Tangmere, and used their passenger view.

Hi Kazareh,
I DID mean #5 view
My apologies! To me, that seems strange as the #5 views are inside the coaches and can't 'see' the loco! Maybe it's something (else!) I don't know about MSTS :(
I hope we can get permission to get the fixed .s out though.
I don't know how often Clive looks at the Forum - perhaps he's on his holidays! - but I'm sure we'll hear something before too long.

Cheers,
Ged

Which mk1 stock are you using?

Is it possible there is an issue with the shape file for that as well?

It's not the stock, I interchanged the stock on other locomotives I've had no problems with, no issues there. I used loads of different stock on the Golden-Arrow Tangmere, that's when the crashing happens. Said stock though is, I forget by who, but is the really high quality textured MK1's that have the abbreviation "TC_" on them.

Not all coaching stock come with passenger view,MT's coaching stock don't have a passenger view, their reason is they think most people prefer to drive the train and not sit in coaches,it also saves on resources as well.

Tim Courts coaches probably don't have a passenger view set up in them either, I have never tried the to see if they have a passenger view,as I prefer to drive trains.

Well I'm a big passenger nut, so.. Either way, if the coach didn't have a inside tag to begin with, I added one, trust me.

The Golden Arrow Train was for most it's existent was a Pullman Train, it was only towards the end it had a mixture of Pullman and ordinary Green, then Blue Grey MK1s.

It's just a pity there aren't any decent Pullman Cars, the only good ones are on The BATS Southern Region CD
