UKTS 28244 1523 Llandudno-euston missing path.

Post by aj52mdy »

Hello Everyone.
I have downloaded the 1523 Llandudno-Euston activity as well as the class 156 activity, the latter ran just fine.
However on the 1523 Llandudno Euston activity there is a missing path.
Trainstore throws up the following error message:

Report/Error/Warning List

Warning: - Item No. 1
The specified PathID is invalid
PathID '15:23 Llandudno to Euston.pat'
Folder: 'Routes\NWCoast\Activities'
File: '1523 llandudno euston.act'
Desc: '15:23 Llandudno to Euston'

Warning: - Item No. 2
The following File was not found
File: 'Routes\NWCoast\PATHS\15:23 Llandudno to Euston.pat'

Error: - Item No. 3
Invalid Player Path
The following File was not found
File: 'Routes\NWCoast\PATHS\15:23 Llandudno to Euston.pat'

Analysis of Error Items

Where Used Report

Routes\NWCoast\PATHS\15:23 Llandudno to Euston.pat Not Used
Indeed looking in my path file I have an ordinary file called 15 which presumably is the offending path file.
Has anyone else expirienced this problem or is it just me?
Incidently I am running the original NWCE not the Mini Route.
As usual (yet again Im afraid :( ) any help very much appreciated.
Many thanks.

I can confirm that the player path does appear to be missing.

The file in the paths folder simply entitled 15; whilst being installed when the apk file is unpacked appears to be 0 bytes in length.

It looks as if the apk file might in some way be corrupted

That's really strange.

I too have a path named "15" of zero length in my Paths folder.

However if I check the activity with Route_Riter it lists a path of "15:23 Llandudno to Euston.pat", as does AE and the activity starts okay in MSTS. (I had to repair one broken path since I'm running NWC2.)

It appears the path is actually there and I'm guessing Windows doesn't like the ":" in the file name and so stops at that point in Windows Explorer.

Indeed the path name can not contain ':' as windows seems to associate that with a drive directories. (E.G C:\)
Replace the ':' with '.' and all should be fine.

For an example, if you open notepad, and just go straight to save as, and try saving it to your desktop (or anywhere else) with filename a:b.txt Windows won't save it, unless you happen to have a drive 'a'.
Kindest regards,
Simon.
