Hi everyone
Help please. I have just recently got a new computer with Windows 7 installed. I have read about installing MSTS in Windows 7, so I know to install it outside of the program files. I made a folder called 1trainsim and installed MSTS in to that folder as 1msts. I've done a search for it but it came up not found. So I don't know where it is.
Regards
Steve

Re: CANNOT FIND MSTS EDITOR AND TOOLS
Hi Steve.
Right click on your MSTS desktop icon, and select properties, click on the shortcut tab, and in the "start in" window it has the location of your MSTS folder.
To create a shortcut to editors and tools, make a copy of your MSTS icon, rename it editors and tools, right click on it, select the shortcut tab and in the target window, you will see the address to your MSTS launcher, exe" eg:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe"
after where it says \launcher.exe" add a space then type in -runeditor so that it looks like this,
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe" -runeditor
obviously the address to your MSTS folder will differ from the default one that I have used as an example.
If MSTS did not create a desktop icon, it did not install properly and you will have to do it again
Hope that helps

Cannot find MSTS editor and tools
Hi Mark
Thanks for a prompt reply. After I submitted the post I went on to read through a post on Activity Changer and found out that MSTS Editor and Tools were in the Microsoft Games folder. So I decided to have another look and found it. I thought I did have a look in there once but I must have been mistaken. Anyway I copies that to the desktop and opened it up and it works fine.
Thanks anyway, Mark, for your tip, I'll file that away for future reference.
