Problem with NWC_ClassA_ShellBP

Post by ianmacmillan »

NWC_ClassA_ShellBP caused a "Can't Add" error when testing.
I checked and found that the shape file was uncompressed.
I compressed it in SFM and it then caused my computer to freeze.

After re-booting I tried again and this time it loaded OK.

Can someone give this wagon a try to see if the problem is with my computer.
If it causes a problem for other people I will issue a fix.

Hi Ian,
I used ConBuilder to create a consist, but, as you say, MSTS reported that it couldn't be added. I used Shape File Manager to compress the file and then restarted MSTS and it was accepted OK.
Maybe your computer froze because you didn't restart MSTS, but tried to use the previous session which had the error? Sorry if that sounded like I'm "teaching my grandmother....etc". :)

Cheers,
Ged

Hi,

I tried compressing this with Zipper - all works OK. No apparent problems, appears in Shape Viewer OK.

Same experience here Ian.

MSTS wouldn't load the original but after I'd compressed the shape file using SFM and rebooted the computer, everything was fine.

Bob.

Thanks to everybody who tested the wagon.

Some of the wagons on the DVD are not the current versions so I might upload an upgrade pack.
Depends how much work is involved.

Theres some seriously old wagons on there Ian, like the Walrus and Nuke wagon (forget its letters) for example. I had to play with the textures for ages to try and make them acceptable!
Working to restore D8233, D5705 and D9531
