Haven't got Pendolino so this is just a guess.
I have had some very odd things (like you report) happen where a train-set has incorrectly made Unique-type bar couplings on some stock. I have had to rewrite all the coupling data on a set from an add-on to get it to work properly. Might just be worth a peek into the wag and eng files to see if all the couplings are consistent.

Re: MSTS requires at least one vaild activity
It seems the reason why the consist is not showing up is because the consist i created was actually for the different VT 390. In the consist editor i used the 3900020 but its not showing a consist in easy train store for that train, instead it shows the newly created consist for the VT Class 390 instead. Very strange.
A question though, in MSTS Editor it can be very difficult to locate engines and coaches as you have to scroll through hundreds of records, is there not an easier way to create a consist???

Hi Chris,
I don't know if this is pertinent, but do the eng files in both your 390 folders have the same name? If so, I have found that it confuses ConBuilder, so may have the same effect on the Activity Editor!
I seem to remember that we had a similar problem regarding the 390 some time ago, but I can't trace it at the moment.
Cheers,
Ged
