Yes it depends where the photographs are taken.
You can't just set one position, or measure it accurately, unless the all the photos are taken on a tripod.
I've never found an easy way to adjust, more trial and error, driving in the actual sim until I feel happy.
Although manually adjusting the figures, without the editor, speeds this up.
