Missing Bridges and Flyovers...........

Post by alisterbetts »

I've just noticed (quick off the mark) that I have several instances of missing bridges, for instance the Holloway flyover is just flying track, as is the bridge that takes the Cromford and High peak route off the Peak Rail mainline. I've also noticed that I have some road bridges missing (but the road's there) , for example the 3 bridges north of Biggleswade. Is there any simple explanation and solution for this?

Which route are you talking about? If its the peak rail, that is still beta - there is a bit of track that flies off to the left, that is because it isn't finished.

If you're talking about MidEast - what detail level are your graphic options set to? Some bridges don't appear unless detail is at max, something I never thought to try during testing! :(

I had the same prob till i turned up the world object density slider in the graphics options. Everything is where it should be now and frame rates aren't much slower.

Yep, 'tis all down to the old performance vs graphics thing again, so I now have three options;

i.Stutter up the ECML with nice graphics
ii. Nice smooth(ish) performance but a few odd flyovers/bridges and no carspawner
iii.Upgrade!

I went to iii) in November. No regrets. All sliders at max, good frame rates, sub-woofer sounds... Sweet.

I went to iii) at christmas, not got sub-woofer YET (bro has 4 point surround sound as well as a sub-woofer the swine :evil:) but I got lovely graphics now, compare the screenshots Basil will be putting up with the forthcoming NWT locos with my screenshots (except the N2 and Manor as they were on my bros comp0 you'll see a slight difference ;).
