"Failed to locate a required file"

Post by bonan »

Hello! Each time I try to start the Editors I get a error message reading "Failed to locate a required file in your installation. You may need to re-install train simulator". I have the same problems in all my mini-installations of MSTS. MSTS itself still works perfect. I am using Win XP. :)

Hi There,

Where are you trying to start the editors from,

the desktop icon?

start menu?

or even perhaps the Train Simulator file folder?

Try all 3 to see if it is a pointer problem

I just found that all the shortcuts had, for some reason, changed to a incorrect directory. That was why it didin´t work. :)
