Hiya,
This is a request for any simmers of a certain age or those with long memories. My current project is of the S&D ( yes another one I'm afraid ) I have completed Bridge 1 using Sketchup. I am very pleased with the result considering I have only found three b/w pictures to go on. I need to know how red the "Red Bridge" was, as it was known, ie dark red, light red or rusty red....also, more importantly how many pillars carried it over the Lower Bistol Road. Only three are visible in the photos two to the right and one to the left, or could one be obscured on the left?
Any help here would be much appreciated.........
thanks Ken.
ps this posting was put in "Generic Simulation" in error and has been removed and reproduced here!!!!

Hi Ken,
I feel I could shout this reply and you'd hear me.
If that is the bridge over the One-Way in Bath and then over the River Avon.
This can be seen as it is today in Google Maps, Satelite Tab, Street View.
There is also a Lwr. Bristol Rd. in Clutton that is also in Google Maps Street View.

Will you be at any of the Festival Events this weekend?

Good luck
Doug

Hi Doug,
Thanks for your reply, Bridge 1 crossed over the Lower Bristol Road by the Royal Oak pub where the line then continued over an 8 arched viaduct, nothing of which has survived apart from the pub. The only other landmarks are the three gasometers further to the north.

Regards Ken.......ps not made any arrangments for the weekend.

Hi Ken,
AH! I see where you are now, the other end of Lower Bristol Rd. I knew the area from my driving and pictured the viaducts with the One-Way underneath.

I was thinking of trying to see the exDonegall Railcar running.

Good luck
Doug
