HI Art,
At least the loco is still working.

OK Deep Breath.

Describe which key you press for up arrow.

Because up arrow+1 (Cabview) does nothing.

Good luck
Doug

Hi Art,
With respect. You have not been reading the replies properly.

That key is the SHIFT key.

It is the correct key and the Changes I posted will change the view. As you will see from the screenshot.
This is the SHIFT+1 view

Click the image to zoom in

You go to this location, Train Simulator/Trains/Trainset/HW_Gwr2301/Cabview/GWR2301.cvf
You double click the GWR2301.cvf file
You replace the values in the lines
Position and
Direction by Copy/Pasting
With these lines

Position ( 1.67 3 -4 )
Direction ( 15 -18 -5 )

You save the changes close the open windows.
Start MSTS.

It works.
You can see from the Screenshot above.

As I say I do not know what you are doing.
Backup the Working loco Folder and Try again.

Good luck
Doug

Hi Art,
You do not know how to Copy/Paste?
Nearly all of the operations we have asked you to carry out have been Copy/Paste. How have you been doing it?

Never mind.

It is all done with the left and right mouse buttons.

Place the flashing line (the cursor) at the beginning of the text you want to Copy.
Press and hold the Left mouse button, drag the cursor (move the mouse) along the text, the text will turn blue. Drag until all the text you want to Copy is blue. This called Highlighting.
Release the left mouse button.
Place the cursor over the blue text, press the Right mouse button, from the choices that appear select Copy.

Now open the GWR2301.cvf file.
Use the same method as before to Highlight the FIRST instance of the Position and Direction Lines in the .cvf file.
Now place the Cursor over the blue text and press the Right mouse button, from the choices select Paste.

The new values are now in the .cvf file Save the changes.

Good luck
Doug

Hi Art,
Great I knew you'd do it. Just a matter of knowing which values to change!
No need to remove the crew. Just move the View forward.
Go back into the .cvf file to the line Position ( 1.67 3 -4 ) Change -4 to -3.

I am out of MSTS at the moment. My Graphics Card has failed.

Good luck
Doug

Hi Art,
You know you are welcome. It won't be long before you will be giving advice to us.

I am looking at a like for like replacement Card. The community spirit is helping on the Open Forum:-

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=110606

So I should be OK.

Good luck
Doug
