Hi There

The Alias for the Cabview requires Class 55 Deltic to be installed which I can't find in the Library - would someone be kind enough to point me in the correct direction please

In addition the following are required to be placed in the Cabview Folder :-

bpcabfront1024.ace
bphudleft.ace
bphudright.ace

I also can't find these in any of the Cabview Folders I have installed and I believe I have them all

The Common.Sound\\Deltic also requires the following to be placed in the Deltic Folder :-

x_wind.wav

Regards

x_wind.wav is located in the SOUND folder of MS Train Simulator.

The blue pullman cabview items are located in my relevant cabview for the blue pullman, and I would imagine that it was avery early upload (circa 2002).

Hope this is of some help.

Hi Ruf

Thanks for your feedback.

I had already located X_wind.wav and installed that OK

Since my last posting I had also located the missing ace.files - they are in UKTS File 940.

That just leaves us now with the File ID for Class 55 Deltic which I cannot locate anywhere unfortunately

I can't find it either Mike,
Neither in my trainset folder or here on UKTS, wonder if it refers to the original Kuju Deltic?

Hi Chris & Ruf

Class 55 Deltic does not exist as a Download in the UKTS Library consequently this is an incorrect Alias re the Cabview requirement for this excellent Blue Pullman by Jon.

Below is a section of the Conbuilder error report :-

[TEXTURE FILE MISSING or DOES NOT EXIST]
The texture file ../../Class 55 Deltic/CabView/RightLeverTop.ACE
specified by the file deltic.cvf does not exist in the folder
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT GAMES\TRAIN SIMULATOR\TRAINS\TRAINSET\BLUE_PULLMAN_JB\
The error was found on this line: Graphic ( "../../Class 55 Deltic/CabView/RightLeverTop.ACE" )

I have however located all the missing .ace files which are in Bob Peach's (Deltic Bob) Class55 Cabview dated July 2003 but I don't believe this is available anymore in the UKTS Library.

I believe that the best option is to Alias the Cabview to Howard Payton's Class55-1 Cabview (Jan 2008) which is MSTSBin compliant and is located in my Common.Cab Folder.

What do you think Jon?

Hi Chris and Mike

I'm not really doing MSTS these days
I've been waiting to download the uploaded version to see whats missing.

I think the easiest fix is to copy the settings from the 'blpultraW.eng' file into the 'blpultra.eng file'.

Sound ( "DRDEngSE.sms" )

CabView ( Blue_Pullman1.cvf )

Sound ( "DRDcabSE.sms" )

Then the loco should run without any other extra downloads, than mentioned.

The other eng files look OK (But not tested here)

However if you ever want the original Kuju Deltic cabview.... then download the Deltic off http://www.thetrain.de

Cheers
Jon

Hi Jon,

Just wanted to say thanks for doing a great job on this cracking mod for MSTS! :D. I am still baffled for what route would be ideal to download for this train as EB's Great Western route is too modern and so is the MML route by EB as well.

Oh a big thank you to darren10000 for posting those links to the sound files as well! Thats appreciated! :D

If you have the Paddington-Penzance route, you could try the Bristol Blue Pullman activity!

If it has the Midland Pullman version it could be run on one of the Peak Rail routes!

Haven't looked at the new model yet, but I have always hoped that someone would be able to do the other liveries such as the white+blue+front yellow or the original livery+yellow warning panel on front.

Other variants of the Blue Pullman would be nice, but it would need to be carried out onto a brand new model as going by the comment in the supplied readme that comes with the train, the author of the Blue Pullman would not like to see those liveries on his model, which I can understand as the yellow fronts on the Nanking Blue livery reduced its gracefullness and the "reversed" livery didn't seem to suit the Blue Pullmans at all IMO :).

I'd love to see it in proper Pullman livery - burnt umber and cream.

Ah the VSOE livery, that would be cool but I am not sure if the author would permit such a livery on his model though ;).

Hi,
As far as I know, their only livery was blue - wouldn't look right in any other!!
