CLASS27s Sounds

Im obviously doing domething wrong ,but I cannot get the right sounds or cabs to fit these little beautes! I have the common cab and sound folder
in trainset dir.and Iv tried everything ,pklease any help B4 i withdraw them off and send to the cutters yard, thanks. :lol:

It may be that you had downloaded one of the earlier versions that we posted that needed altering afterwards. You obviously have the 26/27 Soundpack installed in the common.sound file as that is where the installer should have sent it - make sure that is in there first (shows as 26_27.snd ). Then check your common.cab folder for a folder called class26_27 .

Then check your loco cab trainset folder. It should have the Sound and cabview folders within it. the Sound folder should contain two files called gp38eng.sms and gp38cab.sms. If they are in there, look in your CABVIEW folder. It should contain a file called class26_27 (a .cvf file).

If you don't have these, they are available in alll the recent uploads of Class 26/27 loco's.

If you have all this done and you still have trouble, you will need to open up the .ENG file for the loco. Below is what you should have with the relevant bits highlighted. If yours doesn't, change these as shown...

Once that is done, there is no reason for the sound not to work as designed! I have tried to keep this as simple as possible. Hope this helps.

I must add that mine are set up a little differantly,but set to work with the cabs in the common.cab/class26_27 folder and the sounds located in common.sound/class26_27.snd folder. As as far I know where they should be located. Each has a cabview cvf and sound sms alised for them so should work 'straight from the box' :)

yes well thats what I thought,common cab and common sound folder,but there not workin for me :cry: I,ll work on it following the advice given above, thanks. :)

Hmmm... that .eng file for 27014 isn't to the latest spec. Looks like another one's slipped through the net... :D

That's the problem today, no quality control!

All of my stuff worked perfectly fine, you should all learn to produce these addons more like me....

Well, the auditors have been round with a large screwdriver threatening to chisel off the Quality Assured bit of the nameplate on 56216.... So the staff were told to search everywhere and destroy any remaining files which are not to ISO9002 standard. Apart from a lockersearch all the offending files have now been eradictaed!
