Post by Iluka »

Hi James

I have problems at Start Up with this Activity.

I get a "Failed to Initialize Car <200355> Rigid Body" error then a crash to desktop

Regards

Hi Mike
Try opening the activity in AE, and run verify starting position.
Works sometimes.

Cheers

Hello Mike,

I've looked at the static AI and they have different ID numbers, and also ran the activity through AE, and all seems OK (ran fine when testing in MSTS too)

Have you tried Jon's suggestion yet?

Sorry to hear your having problems though :(

Cheers,

James.

Hi James

I am still having problems unfortunately.

In AE the Path looks too short at the beginning of the Activity.

Most intriguing as you have no problems.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Mike - It shouldn't be that short, you should be clear from the starter signal, and should be able to see it in the cab too, have you tried running it on AE to see what happens?

Cheers,

James.

Thought I'd give this activity a try, I knew I had most of the stock already installed, so I only had to download about 3 of them. :)
Went to install the activity and noticed I hadn't got V4 of BrisCard, so I updated it, but it gave me errors. :-?
Then I found out after 5 minutes of searching round my harddrive for answers that I still had version V1 of BrisCard installed!!
Shows I haven't played it for a while :o
Took me 1 hour to update it to version V4, and when it was finally done I tried to load the act...

Loaded fine. :D

This appears to be another example of how activities may run differently on different machines.

I too got the Rigid Body error. I opened the activity in AE and tried the Verify Starting State, which told me it couldn't place a consist. I looked at each static consist and discovered two (I think) that were too close to the buffers. The trick is to click and hold on the stock piece away from the buffers and drag it a little bit further away. On the two problem consists another wagon appeared when I did that. Once I'd moved the two, the Verify Starting State worked okay. I saved it and it now runs.
