Good morning all,
Thought I would start this thread to maybe try to keep the problems people may have in downloading or running this route in one place, but i'm not holding my breath
Uploaded yesterday and waiting for approval on ID 23323 it is a one download lump of 239109K.
Anyone interseted can look at screenshots I made while testing the route at:
http://clivesgallery.fotopic.net and there's 4 short videos in the video section.
Now back to Kingsbridge and trying to do these infernal activities

.
Cheers
Clive

Well, I've had a look at the screen shots and I am impressed! many oarts of this route are "difficult" to model and you have done well. Will Temple Meads include the Brunel station?

Hi Clive,
You've kept quiat about this fine route I've just looked at the shots on your page and I'm very impressed with it,will it have some activities to go with it?
I glad I've just renewed my Premium Membership for another month as I'm sure there will be a lot of people going to down load it.
Also nice to see by your screen shots it's my favourite era the transition period from steam to diesel.
Well done.
Michael

Hi Tony(the old one) and Micheal.
Sorry i don't know how to do quotes but..............
Bristol TM- unfortunately BR demolition gangs knocked down the Brunel shed before Bristol City Council could slap a preservation order on it. It is an on-going case in the courts but hopefully may be re-built. Seriously, i didn't have enough photos or TSM skills to make it. Maybe this year i'll have another go. Most of the main stations are not really how i want them to be except Green Park and New Street. Paul Spicer let me use his Green Park and i take no credit for the Excellent building.
Activities- Its in the read-me's but Don Hinton of Black Country 1 had no objection to letting me link his 'Trains' folder to 3 activities i've made. You need to have Black Country 1 and because it comes as a mini route, extract the 'Trains' folder. A bit complicated . Otherwise you'll have to use RouteRiter/activity analyser to get them to work.I've left all the paths that i used when testing so making activities yourselves should be reasonably straightforward .
The activities i made are: a stopper from Bath GP into Bristol, steam hauled, an express from Bristol-Brum avoiding Worcester,Peak Hauled, and a Stopper from Worcester Shrub Hill to Birmingham, steam hauled, which just makes the Lickey un-banked

. Nothing complicated, i prefer driving trains and not struggling to work out reverse points etc. I'll leave that to the experts.
Cheers
Clive

Clive,
I fully understand the problem with Temple Meads. There are occasions when MSTS start to show its limitations. I wondered how well you had managed with New Street, but I see that it captures the atmosphere very well.
Now we need someon to produce an activity, using bin capabilites, to add a banker (or two, or three!) at Bromsgrove for up the Lickey and drop it off at the top. That is a challenge that will be hard to meet.

Well this route has certainly been kept under wraps and it looks brilliant from your screenshots. Also glad it's a steam era route too! Look forward to downloading this when it gets verified. Well done Clive!

I think some people need to start checking the MSTS video section
I have found 4 threads with videos of this route:

Kieran many thanks for those links the Licky one is realy good just a shame no one has made a model of Big Bertha to bank the trains up the incline.
I must admit to being guilty at not looking at the video page,I just have a look at the screen shot page.

It is still presumably in the approval queue unless you have had an email rejecting it for technical reasons. I haven't seen any email bounce notices.

I can assure you Michael that the mods have thicker skins than that

However, setting out to antagonise them is not a good idea especially the antipodean mods, one of whom has sharp bits at 4 corners and 1 end

The file approver can only release what is in the queue.
The normal reason for the delays in approving is that every file is test downloaded by the person doing the approvals and the regular guy doing that has a mediocre broadband service so a large file takes a long time to download even on premium access. Smaller files can be downloaded to check they are structurally intact and released quicker.

I seen it up on uktrainsim, but it says THIS ROUTE WILL PROBABLY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY IF MSTS BIN IS NOT INSTALLED, will it still work without MSTSBin?

If it says you need bin then I think that's a good pointer that it probably won't work with out it,the only thing you can do is try it and see what happens.
Why don't try bin? I use it all the time as these days there is a lot of stock that require bin for them to work.
