I think you're right, Jon, about this being the oldest train depicted in MSTS. And the second oldest is Locomotion....and the third oldest is probably George Stephenson's Rocket.

you should see Richard trevithick's road locomotive
they drive it every year through up and down Camborne hill
it sounds good quite a loud bark from the chimney but it only has a weak handbrake to stop it and the steerings quite dodgy too
the original blew up after the water got to low in the boiler .

Geoff,
I am sure I can remember as a youngster watching the first trials of this engine,. They had problems with keeping it on the track and with broken rails if I remember rightly. But then as you get older, memory plays tricks, doesn't it?

Tony, I know that you refer to yourself as 'the old one', but you're looking really good for a 210-215 year old

The loco trials were held in 1804 !!!
