Ok im having a problem with running AE with some of the routes. When i try to open an activity in AE on wcml it just freezes then crashes but all the activities work In AE on LSC so im a bit baffled as to why it does this. Any suggestions?? Its stopping me from making some activities.

It might be because it cant load all the data from all your routes. Often if you give it plenty of time and ignore the not responding messages, it will get there. But the best thing to do is use trainstore in classic mode and store all the routes and activities you dont need, and just keep unstored the one you want to work on, the click GO. Once its finished close trainstore and open the editor with just your single activity and it should work ok. Use maintenance mode to get any stored stock you might want to use, or unstore a few more activities that have that stock in use, to make it available and then store them again afterwards.

Yeah iv tried all that already but it just comes up with train.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. It's weird cos in lse some activities work in AE but others don't. It's very strange.

Try opening one of the default routes and then on the views menu turn off as many as you can live without. Suggestions would be traffic information, sidings and siding names, traffic paths, mileposts, fule points and service info. In fact anything you can live without. Then try your LSC activity and see if that makes any difference.

Ok will give that a go just seems odd how some routes are fine and others are not. Wouldn't be anything to do with the tsection on the routes ?

I wouldnt have thought so, but youve nothing to lose by putting the latest into your global folder again

One thing I have noticed is that AE remembers your settings from the previous time you used it. I find that AE loads quicker if you "untick" all the "view" items before you exit. This way AE only has to load the skeleton trackwork for the route plus the static traffic in the particular activity. This helps with the larger, more complex routes as AE doesn't have to load station and siding names etc.
Hope this may help.

Well iv found the problem . The old issue of 16 bit/32. I thought I'd change the resolution after Reading the sticky about changing from 32 to 16 and hey presto they work again. Happy days thanks for the replies guys. Back to making some new acts to share lol
