MSTS weather

Post by mstsrocks »

Hello.
whilst looking at some screen shots. some people have fog in their pics. and i was just wandering how you can get different weathers like fog and thunder. is it that you need to edit .env files or can it be downloaded from uktrainsim or train-sim?

thanks

Hi Simon
Generally fog is produced by selecting rain with precipitation switched off.
Although there is this mist generator

Im not an expert here but i believe its down to the env files as you indicated. Some provide very gloomy views when used in rain :)

Hi Simon,

You can change the MSTS enviroment with Kosmos:

Click to view more informationKosmos 1.01 [774970 bytes] - Kosmo101.zip
File ID: 9064 Date: 12 May 2004 - 1615 Downloads

If you do a 'download search' in the UKTS Library for Kosmos, you will also find additional add on enviroments to install (including Lightning & Fog).
