Well, it will be interesting to see the price for the new add-on to LSC (along with the quality of the route compared to the original). For 5 miles and 4 stations, I can't see it being too expensive, but then I can't see much scope for activities either.

Very good point you've made; it would need to be really competively priced if this is the future of add-ons. We'll have to wait and see, Christmas is (sadly) only a few weeks away!

I agree with Ash, let's keep this thread about EB returning to do stuff for MSTS. There is still a very big following for this old simulator and it's far from dead yet by a long way!

After reading through the whole post, it all boils down to do they really like the way RS feels and looks. It's not taking time with routes, it's will the weather look good against the station detail, does the graphics look as good as they do compared to photos? Sales is a factor yes but i think it's a case of "Do we as a team like MSTS more?"

But i uninstalled Great Western because of the lack of detail and it just was poor like an 3 out of 10 for gameplay. At least Rail Works have First Great Western locos at proper graphical detail but i just wish the route was longer, to Penzance at least

To Penzance at least? You can't go any further than Penzance. Maybe EB have plans to extend this route all the way from Paddington, with different add on's like they have with the ECML.

Regarding lack of deatail, I go into the RE and populate the platforms with people, this is something that EB don't do in all of their routes. Adding a bit of life to stations makes all the difference and the same with adding cows, sheep etc to fields along the route. This is my only critisism of EB, they don't bother adding passengers to stations. Otherwise their later routes are quite well detailed.

I thought the Caterham branch was already covered on the London & SE package, pity they are duplicating what has already been done.

Different era?
LSE is set in the 70s if I recall correctly, whilst LSC is more modern.

Is just a shame it appears that they are going for short extensions without much activity scope.

Couple of pictures up on EB website. Unfortunatly its £8.99 for 5 miles. There is not much scope for activities as all they can do is either run Victoria or East Croydon (for London Bridge). It would of been nice if they would of fixed the East Croydon junction when LSC was realeased to allow trains to run from the slow line to Norwood Junction.

Well further than Penzance, but if they could get the license to use the logos of First Great Western it would be somewhat more realistic, everyone else can do it?. Still i don't mean populated platforms i mean the whole thing just looks sparse compared to the route in Rail Works.

er, there is no further than Penzance (unless you want them to produce a combined Railsim/Hovercraft sim)

It's only RS/RW that has a license to use FGW logos and I doubt that FGW would be interested in licensing to a 8 year old product now - yes EB did a deal with GNER when ECE was first released (and southern for LSC?), but it seems quite tricky to actually get deals with a modern TOC at present.

Ok, I am not too familar with the Western Railway, only north, south and east. However wherever else the high speed rail goes is beyond me, Bristol and Exeter are the only other one's i know. And it's true that it's only 125mph out of london as far as Reading and then 100 after that?

If EB would join Clapham with Horsham, via Mitcham, Sutton, Epsom and Dorking, and also join Selhurst to Sutton, AND add the Balham to Norwood Junction line, or even any of these, my interest in LSC would shoot up dramatically as im sure it would for many others as the scope for activities would be massively improved - i might even be swayed to buy, even at 20 quid.

I won't hold my breath on any of that happening mind.
Kindest regards,
Simon.
