Re: route
To the best of my knowledge I would go to the ROUTES folder in TRAIN SIMULATOR, and highlight Paddington Penzance (labelled GWR) and delete using Right Click or equivalent.

Re: route
Hi Chris,
Ruf's soloution will work OK.
If you might want to use the route again Copy/Paste it into a new folder. It can be replaced whenever you like.
Do not remove ANY of the rolling stock or consists though.
Do you use TrainStore? It will do the job for you.
Good luck
Doug

Re: route
Hi Jon & Chris,
Jon,
Yes, that is what I meant, thanks.
I should have been more precise.
Chris,
Why do you want to remove the route? It will sit out of sight in TrainStore till you need it (the route).
Is it a HD space problem? If so, still try not to delele but move to another drive, an external one possibly.
Good luck
Doug

Re: route
I have downloaded London Underground from UKTrainSim into MSTS. I have downloaded other Routes from CD's and they all work fine. But London Underground does not show up under Routes in the game. It is shown in the Directory files of MSTS and also on the Geographic Route info. If I could just get an installation file which does not come with the download. The train stock shows up in the game and I can use it but no luck with the Route itself. Please help. Hardy

Go into the Route folder. Rename "routename.trk" to "routename.off". Route is no longer recognised by MSTS, but can be re-activated by renaming .off to .trk.
Actually, Route Riter does this as well. Open RouteRiter - select Route Utils tab. Top right-hand button Activate/De-activate Routes. Place/remove a check -mark and click Exit. The advantage of this is that you can de-activate the default routes but they are still present for use by route installers.

Re: route
Or even just go to the routes folder, locate the route folder and rename it routename_something else (I usually use routename_old) then msts will not see it or load it.
On my development PC i only ever have one active route and its associated trainset folder available at any one time. I rename the other route folders _old, and the trainset folders the same. When msts loads it only see's the active route and its stock, but its really simple toswap them back by simply renaming the two folders again.

Hi Clive,
Weather they class as programs or not I do not know, but.
Although removing them in this way (Add/Remove Programs) could also remove Rolling Stock. I have not tried for obvious reasons.
Good luck

Re: route
The commercial routes do tend to place entries in the add/remove programs list because they usually come with installers/ uninstallers. You have to be a bit wary of using the uninstall routines though, as they have been known to also remove some msts components which are needed for other routes.
The best method if you must delete it, is to just delete its route folder from your train simulator directory - having first made sure its unstored from trainstore if you use it. But as I said above, I just rename mine.

Hi Laurie,
Are you feeling better?
I also have some rolling stock in Add/Remove. As you say those that come with installers.
Good luck
