Loading Thames-Mersey 4.3 fromDVD

Post by thegeneral1 »

Every time I load the route Thames- Mersey Version 4.3 onto MSTS, the prog starts to load but freezes up. If I remove this route - no problems. I only have the standard routes and Yorkshire Coast . How can I get this route to load correctly? Tsection 38 is loaded in Global.

Hi
I think you'll need to use Trainstore.... TM is a massive route.
Without Trainstore you can be waiting 10 minutes to start an activity.

Cheers

TrainStore's included on the DVD as well. Basically, what TrainStore does is load just the stock for the activity you've chosen; anything else is put in store. It improves performance since MSTS doesn't have to keep in memory lots of unnecessary stock. For some routes trainstore is essential otherwise you'll be waiting about 10 mins for an activity to load, and MSTS might claim that it can't find certain services/consists etc.
