Hi all,
What's the best MU or locomotive for a learner?
I think the mistake I made was wanting to drive Pendolinos straight away.
Many thanks,
Steve.

For a diesel loco I would say a class 37 or 47,a DMU probably a 156 or 158, as the erlier dmu's you have use the E key plus A and D to change gear and to start and stop.
The 156/58 all you use A to slow down and D to speed up W forward S to reverse these instructions are the same for the 47/37.

As for EMUs I'd recommend the SWT 450, which has an integrated throttle/brake. A lot of modern EMUs have this - to apply the brakes just press A.
