Hi
Welcome to the forums.

Most if not all of the community CD's have self installers, a few clicks and they are ready to go.

One word of advice! Do not start off by getting one of the newer and bigger routes such as Thames-Mersey or Dorset Coast. They can cause problems. Stick to something like Burton-Derby or Steyning and if you want to have an easy ride and are into narrow gauge, try Talyllyn - absolutely delightful.

I would be grateful to know if anyone has news about the availability of the GWR Highworth Branch CD which is listed in the Route Registry as 'coming soon' ? (Hope this works - it's my first post)

Thanks Doug. Looking forward to asking your advice on one or two things at Harrogate and Keighley if you're there.

I always understood that Highworth was the Area 51 of Train Sim routes - everyone knows it exists... somewhere... though it does not appear on any official maps or in any catalogue - but intriguing occasional appearances of strange and wondrous objects have kept the rumour machine alive and well...

Glyn has already answered the question - the community CDs come with an autorun program that leads you through the install in steps. Just install the globals first, then the route and finally the stock and activities.
