AE may do the exact same thing
Just to reply to Joe's post above, the msts activity editor will allow consists to be created, saved and run under Vista without any problems. The consist is correctly saved to the Trains\consist folder with the correct permissions to enable it to be used in any activity or explore route

Because your ultimate goal is to sell copies of Conbuilder, Is it not?
Encouragement to buy the full version, when imparting advice, be more productive, and not alienate prospective buyers.
At the end of the day it's your property do as you wish.
The forgoing is intended as constructive observation. Please treat it as such.
By the way I use Conbuilder allbeit on XP.
So far it has made exactly zero difference thats why. For instance are You a paid supporter? The number of people using the free versions who choose not to upgrade far out weighs the number who have. Most people want free advice and a free program, I am no longer providing either one. ConBuilder pretty much speaks for itself. I have never been and never will be a salesman. Do you know what the term is for a person who only grabs programs and never pays for them? Other than a pirate and thief?

That's a bit harsh and not strictly true. I use a number of items of software that have never been paid for. Perfectly legitimately. The answer to your 1st question is a thrifty bargain hunter looking for good quality freeware.
In addition, I find that with free/open source software, that I get better feedback and quicker resolutions with issues that I've raised than with some paid for software. Which I could view to mean that it is only the professional vendors who are thieves by providing sub-standard software and not fixing it.
It's a 2-way argument with no clear right/wrong answer, but to simply class people who don't pay for software as pirates/thieves is a little out of line.

I would not have replied to this post had it not been for the last line.
It will
not suprise you to learn I use the last free version. As you seem to have pre-concived ideas of peoples intentions.
Many others used Conbuilder while it was being developed, ironing out bugs ect. and reporting them to you, to improve the product. You were ready to take their comments, given freely. Should these people now expect recompence. If not,What does that make you?
To finish. An upload to this site/and others is given freely and is there for all to take advantage of. (Within the rules)
How on earth can this be called theft.
UKTS and others is all about free advice.
Thank you
Doug

Er, no... if anyone wants to argue (about anything), don't create a new thread here to do it

- go away and do it elsehwere.

Well I haven't had any trouble installing the trains, but the trains I've installed only appear as options on three of the lines (Amtrak, Tokyo-Hakone, and the one I always forget because I never play it).
Maybe Bill Gates doesn't like the fact that I have an iPod and refused to let my computer run MSTS properly?
Or is this because the BNSF route (and whatever the other routes are) are non-Electric routes? Even if that's the case, why can I still use the KIHA 31 or the Series 2000 on the other routes?
Any help is greatly appreciated - if this question has come up before, maybe you could provide a link to the thread/tutorial?
Cheers,
~AFZ
