Hi folks,
I seem to be having a problem with the Activity editor. When I try to zoom in on a couple of routes, (Settle and Carlisle e.g.) my computer feezes up and I get an error message.
MST has encountered a problem etc.
Do I have a corrupted installation? I use the Xplosive version of the MST with the update patch added,
Can somebody please advise.
John.

Firstly check your colour setting on your PC are set to 16 Bit. The editor isnt very happy working in 32bit colour. Secondly what screen resolution are you running it at - mine doesnt like anything higher than 1024x768.
If neither of those work can you open an activity for one of the default routes that came with msts. If you can, try going to the view menu and turning off as many views as you can do without - you can add them back later. Too many views can make it struggle sometimes.
If you are running Windows Vista, I think you need to make sure you are running the editor as an administrator.
Depending on how many and which routes you have installed, you may need to run trainstore since many of the bigger ones take a long time to load, which gives the impression that the application has frozen whereas it hasnt. Trainstore will help speed up loading times.
If none of those things work come back and we'll scratch our heads a bit more

Re: Computer freeze
Thanks Lad,
Dropping down to 16 bit cured the problem.
