HELP WITH LUL 1996 STOCK JUBILEE LINE

Post by edzell »

Hi, first time poster.
Just downloaded the above file.
Its the first time I have downloaded anything and knew I couldnt get it to work first time!
The problem is I can see the train inside and out, the doors open and close but I cant get the train to move even when the throttle is at 100%.
There does not seem to be any brakes to release.
Is there something wrong with the way Ive downloaded this file, or is it operator error, ie me.
I can get get all other original trains to work ok.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

check reverser and also, if the doors are open the train won't move as they are part of the pantograph animation

(reverser = S for reverse and W for forward)

I had no trouble with this train, so i can't see why you should,

see what others say tho!!!

Thanks for the reply astrovana.
tried what you suggested and although I get a clicking noise when I press S and W it still does not move.
Also when I start to run the game the train goes backwards slowly till it hits the buffers, but when I start at another station it does not go back at all.
Shold I be able to use this train on any route as it only works on two of them?

if its electric you can only use it on electrified lines...

try the sander it might have wheel slip... X = sander

cos the class 57 aluminium that wheel slip is awful at starting just get the regulator on 30% let it get going slowly then at about 10 mph wack it open : try that

If you have the Bin patch installed you may come across a wheelslip problem with electric engines (including LU stock). Try pressing Z before accelerating, also make sure the reverser is in forward and brakes are fully off.

Have tried both suggestions but train still does not move.
Have also noticed that when I press SPACE BAR, I get the speaker system saying MIND THE GAP but cant get this to stop unless I come out of the simulator.
Could there be a problem with the files I downloaded, and would it be a good idea to try to download this program again?
Thanks.

Hi edzell,

There does seem to be something amiss here as the 'B' key should trigger the "Mind the Gap" announcement and 'spacebar' should trigger the 'whistle'.

Just a long shot, but check your keyboard is configured for English UK.

Robert.
