When you're installing TrainStore, you are asked to specify a folder that it will use to store files in. If you haven't done so, that would explain the problem. Try re-installing TrainStore and complying with the instructions that come up on screen when asked.

Oooof! Reinstalling MSTS! That's a no-no for a start really... TrainStore would've cured your problem. And there is a (admittedly big) user manual that comes with TrainStore.

As for your current problem... Sounds like you're trying to install onto a full hard drive. Another no-no really. MSTS needs a ginormous chunk of space to work effectively. What exactly are you doing and what exactly are the messages that come up? More info will help us to help you.

When trying to install MSTS All over again the install menu comes up with the little train at the bottom moving along as the percentage install rate goes up. It gets to around 15% and then a box pops up saying Cabview 3000 make sure your hard drive is not full or something like that.

Hi Chris

All the more reason to read the error message and quote it back to us exactly as it appears on the screen. That will make it easier for us to help you.

Hi Chris
I think it might be caused by CD error.......look to see if they are scratched or dirty.

Sorry if I sounded a little offensive, it's just that the second message was worded almost exactly the same as the first.

Another thing you could do is try it on another PC (i.e. a friends or parents) and see if that works.

We appear to have two members with a similar problem......

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?t=71568

Perhaps there are clues from both to help find a cure for both.
