Hi Theo
You need to make a rear cab using

Click to view more informationRear Cab File Generator for MSTSbin 1.6 [36555 bytes] - rv_cvf_maker_1_3.zip
File ID: 15358 Date: 23 Oct 2006 - 2291 Downloads

Then when your in the cab (cam1) no throttle, in neutral, train brakes applied. Pressing the 1 key will put you in the rear cab.
Cheers

Hi Ben

Assuming you have a reversed cabview already set up, you need to stop your loco, apply brakes (so the monitors show no forward or reverse movement), place the reverser in neutral, then press the "1" key.

Has anyone used this utility under Vista and got it to work?
I tried and gave up in the end and did it manually!

Provide you have carried out all the advice re adjusting permissions to the security system on Vista to allow MSTS to work flawlessly, then the utility will install and run in exactly the same way as it does under all of the other Microsoft operation systems.

How do I know? I've just downloaded it, installed it, and ran it!

When I open a cab file with the program, I just get a small yellow window come up and nothing else happens.
I've re-read the Read Me for it . I've no idea what's wrong!!

Hi
You should open the programme... then drag and drop a cvf file onto the small yellow box, from inside Windows explorer

see below

Hi Jon,

When I try and drag a cab file into that yellow window I just get a circle with a line through it replacing the mouse pointer and when I release the mouse nothing happens. It says in the Read Me that assigning CVF files to the program and opening them with it should do the same as that but whatever I try, it won't work!!

I tried installing Microsoft Net 2.0 and it just said that it was already there.

I've just copied the program into Program Files\Rear Cab Maker\ (I've been running it from a utilities folder before this) and it now works!!

Cheers

Hi,

How do you chage cabs on a dmu or emu. 171's and 220 voyagers mainly. I've got the rear cab view file sorted. just when I press 1 again to change I can only see the coach end not a clear view of where I'm going.

Thanks
