Roads and tracks disappearing (now solved)

I've been having trouble with MSTS for a few weeks now. It started when I started helping with the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway route, for which I needed NewRoads. This I dutifully installed, but it made no difference. I kept getting loads of "Unable to open shape file" and "No extended shape data" errors for files referring to NewRoads.

Eventually I got fed up, and did a clean re-install of MSTS, before reinstalling XTracks and NewRoads again. Now nothing related to MSTS worked. MSTS refused to even start, with the old "Send/Don't send" message, while Route editor claimed it couldn't read the track database files.

Thanks to help from NVincer, who suggested getting a newer TSection.dat, I've now got MSTS to load up, but at the cost of a seriously long list of error messages (again, "Unable to open shape file" and "No extended shape data" ones), and when I eventually get in-game, there's no sign of any track or roads (apart from dynamic track, rather strangely). Could anyone suggest a reason for this? It affects default routes and downloaded ones. However, I'm loath to reinstall again (after doing so twice today, and only making things worse.

Have you also installed UKFS ?

Erm... It was installed before the re-installation. SHould I make sure it's all there? The missing track sections also included the horrible default MSTS track.
