Atomic Systems

I might be trying to do the impossible but is it possible to make up a consist without a drivable loco then place it in a siding or platform then run a loco from the shed, attatch to it, and complete an activity.I presume i would have to create an activity as though it were a light engine consist but would i be able to couple up to say a freight consist in a siding

you can create a consist to couple to be it coaches or wagons, just make sure that the couplers on the engine and wagon/coaches match
