Can you actually load MSTS to play the game from a shortcut on the desktop? If so, simply copy that shortcut and amend it to read -runeditor at the end instead of -rungame
i.e: e:\program files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe -runeditor
instead of
e:\program files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe -rungame.

If you've re-installed windows there may be no registry entries for MSTS have a look in your registry if theres nohing there just reinstall msts to your E: drive to place the entries in the registry

If Windows has been reinstalled there are no registry entries for any programs previously loaded on any other drive than C:/. You must therefore reinstall those programs, automatically overwriting them as you do so. In the case of MSTS, place a copy in a temporary folder, reinstall, and then copy to the new install all those modified folders such as GUI and Global, this preserves such things as Xtracks and transparent track monitors.

Hi
If you make the following shortcut, it'll work without reg entries
"Driveletter:\folder\folder\Train Simulator\train.exe" -toolset
Obviously putting in the correct path to where your train.exe actually exists.
This way you can multiple train.exe instalations, without having to keep altering the registry.
Cheers
