Hi

Welcome to the forums...

Could I ask you to explain in a little more detail exactly what you're doing...including indicating any error messages you're getting.

You won't. The MSTS installation disks (which I think you may be talking about) are Read-Only CD-Roms. You cannot record or download or install stuff to them, Period. End of story.

If you mean you can't download it onto your hard drive, it may be because you are queued for downloading if you're not a premium member. Wait until the server sets you to the head of the queue and your download should start.

If you mean you can't install it once it's downloaded, then we really need to know how you're trying to install it, and what error messages you get.

And posting 'Help' as a topic title is not helpful - Help what? Choose a birthday present for your girlfriend? Jump your girlfriend? Dump you girlfriend? Run MSTS? Load porn pics? Call you an ambulance because you did dump her and she smacked you in the teeth? Or because you said you thought she was in the porn pics? Load trains or activities? Make coffee?

As author of the topic you can Edit the title - it might help if you did that....

Oh - and welcome to the forums - there's a wealth of knowledge and information here, but also a few miserly old curmudegons who are very picky about the way people behave (who? ME? nah - couldn't be me...)

Hi and Welcome, You should not record anything onto the MSTS disc But get a blank CD and record it onto that, Load the MSTS CD then load the Thames/Mersey Cd and read the read me file that comes with it to see if you need anymore Downloads. Just keep us posted on how you are going and if you run into trouble, get back to us :)

Regards

Ron P :)

When you view the thread then at the top right hand corner of the first post you made should be an "edit" icon. Press that and edit the post and change the title.

Kindest regards

Most routes come either as a zipped archive of all the files or with a self installer in the archive. In either case, download all the sections, then open the first one, preferably in a fairly up to date version of WinZip. Look for the file called ReadMe (or somthing close to that) open it and read what it says. These files invariably contain the instructions on how to install the route. Follow the instructions and it should be OK.

Last time I installed T-M was about two years ago, and that was on my machine in the US, so I don't have it to hand, and my memory of the full installation procedure for that specific route is hazy. However, if you do what I've suggested, it'll either install, or it'll give you error messages; if you get the errors, post here again and let us know which errors you're getting and we can try then to figure out what's going wrong.
