I just installed original MS Trainsim and dowlnoaded the recommended patch which has been in place since early year 2000. My installation runs all 6 TS standard routes fine, so I tried to advance to Seaview 5. Downloaded and installed, set options, but cannot get past the "Train World Initialization Failure" message even after doing SC Burnett's instruction to replace the water reflection module.

Anyone know if WIn 7 can run Seaview 5, and how to get around the Train world Initialization failure?

Have you updated the tsection.dat file? Take a look at

that can often help with these types of error messages.

Also take a look at the W7/Vista forum for more advice on installing under W7.
