Hi Ericio,
Welcome to the forums :D

Take it slow and there is enough information in this thread to fix the problem and of course the procedure is the same for all stock.

Give thought to standardising the couplings in your Train set.

Aa always there is help here.

Good luck
Doug

Hi Again Doug

I'm on about an S&D anomaly now (instead of BTB for a change). Have you experience the problem coupling onto the carriages at Templecombe in "ch_07.35_Temple to Bmouth Slow" - where the tank just slides straight through the rake as if it isn't there at all?

It's just happened to me - and I can't believe it!

Regards

Hi Eric
Excuse me for butting in!

I've had this problem (you'll be pleased to know :) ) and it's been reported, and sorted, here : http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1#p1380891
I had a little trouble finding that thread! I wish people would create a thread title that has some relevance to the subject. End of mini-rant :D

Come back if you're still having problems.

Cheers,
Ged

Hi Ged

Glad you're with me on this. I unstored and looked in the Routes folder and SDJR was there. So I went into UTILS where TSunpack is and tried to unpack all those activities again. This time it worked and those activities are now showing in Train Store properly.

However, I'm now getting bold and decided to use Route_Riter to correct the non-coupling event in the "Wells to Glastonbury" - where the front coupling on the Pannier doesn't mate with the rake waiting in the station.

So I go in, get that activity showing and change the coupling on the Pannier from chain to automatic - to be the same as the rake. I come out of RR and try to run the activity, The Pannier still refuses to couple!!!!

What did I do incorrectly? Was there a "Save" to be made somewhere following the alteration?

Remember, this is on my "old girl" running XP.

No, you don't need to change it - the coaches are chain!
I think the problem is another parameter with each Coupling entry in the .eng file (there are two!)
Change the line r0 ( 0cm 0.78m ) to read r0 ( 20cm 30cm ).
Although I had also changed the bounding boxes of the coaches, I think the above should do it for you.

Do you know, I'm sure I've written this before somewhere 8)

Hi Ged

Many thanks once again and "yes" you had said it before! But this time it sunk in - I did exactly what you said via Wordpad and lo & behold, the damn thing worked! Hooray!

So I ran the shuttle - there and back - without problems in great graphics, for the first time. Fabulous!

Thanks again

Hi Ged

Now we're onto something. Just ran Evercreech to BathGP in great graphics and without a hitch.

I am trying to run through "The Bason Bridge Milkie" activity, but when I collect the mixed load at Glatonsbury, the loco won't move unless I put the cut-off and the regulator all the way up to 100%. And when I try to re-couple to the Milk Tankers, my loco's wheels spin helplessly. Has anyone else had this issue, or does anyone know how to resolve it? I really like the route but time and time again something sets out to spoil my enjoyment. :(
Don't just do things right, do the right things. ;)

Hi Again Cody

"The Bason Bridge Milkie"

I've just run the activity again as far as the pick-up at, and the leaving of, Glastonbury. Obviously I'm running this activity on the DVD Mini-Route version, as it doesn't appear on the Download Version on my MSTS installation anyway.

I have to report no problems at all, in fact the Collett works seamlessly. So, the question is, what version are you running? The Mini-Route is set up with Tsection 38 (31.10.2007) and MSTS Bin Patch 1.7.0929.

Hope this helps.

Hi Cody,
Three things spring to mind, but, as the wheels are spinning, the first may not be applicable!
1. Have you opened the small injector to release the brakes?
2. Did you apply any hand brakes on the wagons?
3. Have you changed the brakes (from vacuum to air) on any of the stock to be collected?

Cheers,
Ged
