Hi,

I'm 99% finished with my London Underground A60/62 Stock and Jimi Ibbet has given me permission to use the R49 Stock physics and sounds aswell as Darren Carter allowing me to use the R49 Cabview. However, the R49 Stock had a top speed of 50mph and the A60/62 Stock had a top speed until refurb of 70mph. How can I change the the top speed to 70mph?

James.

Hi James

Change the MaxVelocity ( ) parameter in the .eng file to a speed of your choice.
You will also have to check the OverspeedMonitor parameters to be compatible with the new maximum velocity.

Kindest regards
Ray

Be aware that MaxVelocity represents the speed beyond which power is reduced. You will be able to exceed MaxVelocity on straight track, depending on the power and load of your train: power is progressively reduced and friction and rolling resistance forces continue to increase: somewhere the two balance out and that will be your actual maximum speed.

I usually use about 10% below the maximum speed the locomotive is capable of.
