MSTS - what do I need to install - patches, etc?

Hi all,

It's been some time since I've last played MSTS so planning to carry out a clean installation.

I've got the game disc - can someone please remind me which patches, recommended add-on's etc. that I need to install - or if this information exists somewhere to please point me in the right direction?

I also somewhere the West Coast Main Line Birmingham to London add-on to install and then will be looking to purchase/download some more routes and stock.
