Nice to see so many new objects!

Whether it's a simple house, a small bush, a station, a phone box, a sheep or any other piece of scenery here's where you can talk with others building them. Scenery is often also a great place for beginners to start out their 3D modelling hobby before moving on to more complex items such as Locomotives.

Fantastic work! Love how realistic it looks. Really looking forward to whatever object or route you produce, mate, they are synonym of quality

Cheers

I cannot agree on this. Look at the ZLSM in southern Limburg, there's a lot of atmosphere there. The line to Vetschau (first international line in the netherlands) with those nice railbusses(schienenbus / VT98) is very nice, I think. I agree on the fact that the intercity-mainlines aren't that nice, The same with the larger cities, but there still are lines with "railroadromance".

I agree that German railways have (in some places) more atmosphere than the Dutch railways.

Jaap
Yes, that's treu, the ZLSM route is very nice..I remember as a child the yellow train (plan x) to Aachen. ( I was born near this railroad). Nowaday's the railways is like a museum, really nice to see or to work, but it isn't orginal anymore. Maby a idea to make this route to Aachen agian back to the 80's. But I have to learn to make trains first.
In Friesland..all the old network is gone. (no industrial lines, the line to Stiens is partly gone.. I think it's boring to make a railroad for RS driving 30 km without a junction.....)
but Germany and Belgium are getting near to the Netherlands in cleaning up. So many old infrastructure and stations are demolished very fast now, like the Vennbahn. I found this rather strange. We keep almost all the old churches, but can't keep our industrial and infrastructural history alive.

At the end of next week, some new scenery. All posted objects on this site will be uploaded with my route when it's finished. (about 175 Geopcdx files)

Good night, SAD

We have te same taste...
Have a look at the line Maaseik-Hasselt.
It's gone but the track bed is still to see in Google Earth.
Scenery of those day's you'l find all of them in the Open Air Museum next to my door.
(Bokrijk)
In 1874 werd spoorlijn 21A Hasselt - Maaseik geopend.
I know the line, I explored it by bike from the station Asch to Maaseik. Still some buffers were there. In the Netherlands almost all 'clutter' is gone after demolishing railroads. In Belgium they are less precisly. Signs, buffers, sleepers etc.. are left alone. I wish i could make trains, than I could make more a route like this one.

Yes I understand about making trains.
Same problem here: develloping and the bleuprint.
In Maaseik I did find about 100 meters of platform...
(but I have good pictures from the old days)
Sad: keep up the good work!

I am still working in Canvas..but not able of making good shadow-maps and trees made me make te move to Max. I'll try to learn now to build in Max. My first try was the simple tree of RSDerek, which I succeeded. First trees are coming up..

Made some additional factories, like this abandoned one.
I hope to fill my route with many own assets as possible. Works goes on...

Also working on new catenary lines. Not very easy to get nice results. Thick black wires are ugly, but thin grey ones are too quickly invisible..

Hi,

I don't know if its possible in this case - but in the past I've also used transparency as well as thickness and colour to control the visual appearance of thin wires in simulations.
