08 Shunter cab

Rail Simulator brings full and high detail 3D cabs to Train Simulation (though by no means the first to do so). Instead of using 2D images you can now create detailed 3D cabs with fully animated controls, here's the place to learn how.

The Cab looks very good, one request though, when you finish it, make sure its dirty
If you don't know what the levers, valves and dials do, let me know.

To be honest there is not much difference between a vacuum only 08 cab, and a dual braked one, couple more pipes, and different train brake lever, thats about it

The cab will be far from clean.
:)
When i get to that point I'll post up some images for comment before making it final.
Cheers for the advice.

Oh Good Lord!! :o That is a masterpiece...

RailSim comes of age (already) - no railway is complete without one (regardless of what Peter Dore says   ). When I think of all the quality routes in MSTS and just how much better they would be in RailSim graphics, this goes some way to quelling that annoyance! At least now RailSim will be easily the best for shunting scenarios - so much easier when you can move around the cab and look wherever you need. Quite important in shunt work I find!

Kind regards and keep churning out the goods! :P 8)

Another very similar variant that would help stimulate some international interest is the Victorian F-Class from Australia / NZ.

Not a precise match, but should only be a handful of differences, a few relatively straight forward liveries and you'll have the ANZAC's interested :)

Stunning work Derek, nice to have the screenies to take a look at it. Cab looks finely detailed and thats before you get the paint brush out. Can you put me down for a dozen when they're ready? :D Great work!

Ok managed ot grab a few hours here and there to get this baby all mapped and shadow baked.
Just started to texture, thought I'd share a few images with you.
Again, any constructive comments welcome.
