It's a miracle!

Post by phat2003uk »

I've just created a scenario where you drive from Didcot to Paddington with all scheduled services from the WTT put into the sim for a run which lasts around 40 minutes, this is 39 trains in all. The real miracle of it all, is that it worked first time without no derailments or strange send/don't send errors. There must surely be some divine intervention going on ;).

I don't know, officially Mk2 has no dispatcher fixes so it must just be pure luck.

I did read something about content fixes, added markers and such.
Even if you did not touch your scenario, a moved signal link here and an added destination marker there or some change in track direction may well have cleared up the dispatcher's hazed mind.

I just happened to make a mk1 copy of rs on an external drive, so that I can test and compare it to mk2. I can give it a test using both, if you like, drop me a pm if you agree.
Cheers,

Hi, thanks for the offer but this scenario is planned to go into a commercial pack I've yet to announce.

Well, the first thing is to make sure every train has a final destination. Secondly, try to avoid any movements from the fast to slow lines in the case of the Paddington to Oxford route, this is just asking for trouble unfortunately so it's wise to keep the local services on the slows and the HSTs on the fasts. That really is about it!
