New KRS screenshots :) [16/08/2007]

The Rail Simulator forum was very busy leading up to the UK release on October 12th 2007, this is a read-only copy of those discussions for historic and review purposes.

In what way? If you mean the different viewpoints for each cabview I'd imagine it's just the same as TRS, where you can move the camera to wherever you want in the cab.

However, yes, there are moans...
7F cab dosn't really seem to be as well done as the Black 5, but it may not even be finished...
The "Outside" view of the cab looks a simply like a low quality texture...
Various other little things which seem a tad naff to me, but on the whole (Would you believe it after my moaning  ) it looks ok, I will still buy it, and look forward to it...

BTW - Notice this is a EA website, the the realise date is 4.10.07 8)
Didn't even notice that I was too excited about the shots!

In all fairness no simulator is ever going to be 100% perfect from every single aspect. The cabs are already lightyears beyond what was available built-in to Trainz and MSTS in 2001 / 2002 and personally I'm more than happy with that (just look at the original Flying Scotsman cab in MSTS

There's ALWAYS going to be a mistake on something, somewhere that someone will be able to point out so I'd rather Kuju concentrated on getting us a realistic, enjoyable simulator than spend (you could even say "waste") their time striving for perfection in every last detail.

IMHO, of course

Ramp is a bit sque wiff on the other line...
& looking at the 7F cab again, it looks like trainz, I have never though this before - and even looked at old posts about it looking like trainz, and thought: "no it dosn't" to myself...

It is a bit! I'm sure they'll iron out all the little quirks before release

Not necessarily a bad thing! I'd much rather the cabs looked like TRS than MSTS to be honest :o

Just curious, what's going on with the 7F's smoke box door here?

Already been pointed out - looks like some dodgy shadowing going on. On the other hand it also looks like the shadows are possibly a bit more complex / detailed than in the previous round of shots, so it could well be that they're working on them..

And yep there are clouds in most of the pictures..

Finally, someone has figured out what looked wrong in the pics IMO. I couldn't put my finger on it myself. :)

The colour of the sky on what appears to be a bright cloudless day doesn't match the scenery, which you would expect to be brighter on such a day.

It's the Finnish site, funnily enough I couldn't find KRS on the UK site :o

And yes, I did go through each country's site to find these
