Reading the various reports, the current E3 is but a shadow of former E3 events. Virtually nobody is in attendance and it is only accessible to a few in the gaming market place.... There hasnt been even a rumour of KRS or MSTS2 (or what ever its going to be called) anywhere near it.

I think the MS product is at least 18 months off, and I doubt you will see KRS before Xmas, as even if it was finished today, Kuju / EA would need a minimum of 3 months pre-release advertising in both the gaming and rail fan media. You need to build up a products release and certainly not just dump it in the marketplace. There isn't even any mention of it on the EA website as being on the horizon. (this is a great pain to me as I was expecting a release last year and updated my pc when I had some spare $$ ~ now nearly 18 months down the track, pc is no longer what it was last year and still no sign... Oh well)

End of 2 cents... :fadein:

E3 has always been exclusively for games journalists, that's nothing new.

The event has been toned down as smaller companies were often washed away under the hype machines that the larger companies were running, and the entire point of E3 was essentially lost.

They slimmed it down so that less people were invited and all companies got the same level of exposure.

Kuju have constantly said they're aiming for a 2007 release, if the people behind the development of the game think that, we're not really in a position to suggest otherwise, because they know a lot more about the game's development than we do.

However i don't think KRS will publically be at E3, it doesn't have the mainstream appeal to justify the costs of being there.

Thanks for your input. I remember when MSTS was coming out, it showed up at E3. Anyway, hope to get some new stuff on it soon.

Thanks again.

Unfortunately, E3 has now come and gone, and as anticipated, not a mention anywhere of either sim.

Oh well... I am still anticipating a Xmas 07 release...

In other words, they ruined it.

e3 still had all the usual great games, just because they didn't have the huge show floor and was spread out more didn't degrade the fact it was stll e3. If you go to sites like gametrailers.com and gamespot.com you will see there is a huge amount of content on offer.

We still got e for all in October to look forward too.
