Field weakening will be available on KRS

The Rail Simulator forum was very busy leading up to the UK release on October 12th 2007, this is a read-only copy of those discussions for historic and review purposes.

However, don't overlook the fact that this technology was used at a certain point in time. There may also be later technology versions on offer, although this hasn't been stated yet.,.by Kuju.

Make fair comment, but at least leave the rabid screaming until after the sim's release.

We're not going to get everything in the first version, so live with it!

You have been working in rail industry and you've never heard of electric engine. :o

This is a joke, right?

Have a guess, your profile says you are a barrister so it should not be to hard for you.

I guess I was being a little emotional when is said "never".

I'm only familiar with MSTS and Trainz. I guess my point is........that I thought there would be more concern for working signals and switching given the history of the MSTS and Trainz.

What I hope for is working signalling/swicthing/paths when there is a mix of AI and Player trains. Perhaps the answer(for me) is in AndiS's reply.

You're really serious? Do you work for Union Pacific or something? There's no way you could live in England and not know what an electric engine is.

There's numerous variations of electric powered trains, the New York City Subway train runs via Third Rail power in which it draws electricity from a power rail to the left or right of the tracks. You also have Overhead lines in which the trains draw power from overhead.
