From Leeds, with lines radiating out to Shipley/Ilkley/Bradford/Skipton/Settle & Carlisle; from Leeds to Harrogate, then on to York; Leeds to Garforth, then on to York and Selby/Hull; from Leeds heading south-east to Castleford/Pontefract then west to Wakefield Kirkgate and south to Sheffield; heading south-east to Wakefield Westgate, then split for Sheffield/Doncaster; from Leeds heading south-west to Huddersfield (then south-east to Sheffield) and Manchester Piccadilly; and south-west via Bradford Int. and Halifax to Manchester Victoria and Preston/Blackpool.
However, this idea features 2 problems: great variety of stock (should be worth it though
On the stock front, we could make do with a limited number, eg. cl.158 in various guises, HSTs, 66s, cl.155/156, cl.150 & cl.144.
Just a thought though. Will make a nice change, and certainly lots of scope for activities, especially if KRS includes 'MSTS Bin'-style patches (eg. reversible driving positions).
