Loco Horns

The Rail Simulator forum was very busy leading up to the UK release on October 12th 2007, this is a read-only copy of those discussions for historic and review purposes.

Loco Horns

Post by TheTazman »

Hi

Last night i was watching Disovery's Mark Williams on the Rails last evening. An excellent program for any who have not seen it.

He mentioned on there that disel locos (maybe some not all) have two buttons for the horns. So the longer you hold down the buttons the longer the tone of the horn.

Would this be a feature of any use in KRS?

Regards

Very much so. There are also regulations for patterns that have to be used in certain situations, both on this side and the other side of the atlantic, so I would really welcome a good horn system.

I had not realised that there were different sounds for different situations.

Isn't that out on DVD?, if it's the same one that I'm thinking of then it's a damn good show.

I have not seen it out on DVD, but i guess a few searches on amazon would yield results.

I just wish they would make some more of them instead of repeating the.

Trains with Pete Waterman is equally as good.
