Hi all,

We have now announced our working relationship with 3rd Party add ons, and following this the Rail Simulator team would like to find out more info surrounding this area.

So....we're running another Poll!

What's that poll got to do with KRS?

Sorry to contradict you here, but I don't think you have.
You have announced that there is a programme and that it involves cost.
But the mode and approximate amount of "the cost" remain subject to wild speculation.
And will the approval by Kuju be solely based on the (undependent) third party QA service?
Will there be a future for the cottage industry. If yes, please tell us now. If not, which initiatives will Kuju take to form and support freeware teams capable of filling the gap.

I do not suggest unfavourable answers, I just wish to have a favourable one plain on the table, instead of prolonged bad feelings.

But then again you said "announced" an not "described". So you post is correct in its wording but the information is still lacking.

This is nothing to do with this thread, but I wouldn't expect them to announce on the public, promotional website (which appears to be more aimed at consumers, in general) that "a license will cost £x".

This question is extremely ambiguous!

How many commercial add-ons . .

For what, every game and simulator I own, just MSTS or for all my rail sim software together?

Does commercial mean any payware or just products sold in shiny boxes through retail outlets or mail order?

Am I counting just routes or any type of related game enhancing product?

I am not trying to be pedantic here just for the sake of it. A clarification of the poll question could determine whether my answer will be 2 or 100!!

Yeah.. you'd have completely different numbers if asked about commercial routes vs. commercial locomotives and car sets. And do free car sets from commercial vendors count?
