Some speculations, please ;-)

The Rail Simulator forum was very busy leading up to the UK release on October 12th 2007, this is a read-only copy of those discussions for historic and review purposes.

I wouldnt be too worried. Just the other day I spotted "KujuAdam" online reading in this forum. So i suppose they are reading your ideas and "Speculations," but just not in the position to make any announcements.

I would also think (as mentioned by Sabrina) that the whole team are getting increasingly busy with bringing everything together. Though Im as exicted to see something like this as every other person on this forum is.

"Good things come to those who wait..."

Fingers crossed, there may be an annoucement very soon!

Hi
This has appeared on http://www.thetrain.de

"Both, Halycon and BlueSky announced AddOns in BlackForest - Release next year".

Is this for the 'Black Forest' KRS route?

and the 101 is on the front page of KRS

Kuju are pleased to reveal Rail Simulator's locomotive flagship German train: the BR 101. This will power passenger trains along the already announced Hagen to Siegen route.

With the addition of the German DB BR101 to the previously announced UK modern and steam locomotives, Rail Simulator will offer the player a rich variety of engines to drive! As an Electric train, the BR 101 has different physics and driving mechanics giving a different driving experience and providing new challenges for the player.

Cheers

BR 101 is beautiful loco, not as the SBB Re 460 "Lok 2000" but very modern and powerfull. I "drove" this loco in LokSim 3D and she is equipped with very comfortable and functional driver's cab. I'm extremely happy for the implementation by Kuju of this lokomotive which is equpped with AFB (which is like automatic drive in passenger car).

German locomotives have simply a very different style than British ones. It took me quite a while to discover the beauty of British locomotives and multiple units, so why it shouldn't be the same vice versa.

Speaking about beauty, the SLM hired Studio Pininfarina to help them in designing the most beautiful (in my eyes) loco design, the Swiss Re 460 Lok 2000. It also has the most advanced cab interior as yet. I was very fortunate to be invited to inspect the mechanical part (body shell and the bogy assembley) manufacturing line in SLM in Winthertur. It was simply amazing.
