DMCL/DMBS shell

Ok, not much to look at but it's a start, Just working on getting the profile right. Still not happy, but want to show that like the 37 it is underway.
Once i get the profile right I'll post up a couple of shots (probably later tonight) for you guys to give advice.

Well already its recognisable. Will comment if I spot anything worth mentioning but you have to be happy with the profile before moving on. Nice start

Can't really say much right now, but judging by your other models I have no doubts about the quality of this locomotive.

OK, got the actual plans that the units were made from, (there are some very nice people out there that I will be buying pints and biscuits for) so I have shelved the previous model due to it being 'el shonko'

Am still looking for a 101 to go and photograph and try to get cab images for, any ideas people? Close-ish to London would be good though.
Will post up a visual soon of how it is coming along.
Also I will be releasing this in stages, DMCL first, with a very basic cab, then a finished cab then one of the other units, not thought of the order yet, suggestions more than welcome.

Not sure I can think off the top of my head of a location close to London. The Mid-Norfolk Railway at Wymondham has a 101 in service. Here are some shots I took of a 101 at the Midland Railway Centre last March - hope you might find some use for them when modelling the buffer beam, coupling gear, etc.

Again not close but North Norfolk Railway restored one two or three years back, it runs regularly now I think.

East Anglain Railway Museum has one i think.

Being a museum member, I can confirm that there is currently 3 Class 101 cars on the site, and 2 Class 108 cars. I will get some pictures next time I am down there if they will be of some use.

Hi, they will be of great use!
I am mainly after bogie details, I should really make the trip myself. I do intend to contact them to see if I can get a little closer to the units to get some pictures.

I have spent the last 2 hours trying to get the curve right around the top corner, why an engineer would create such a compound curve I have no idea. Still I am pleased with my result and managed to get there in the end.
I will post up progress later tonight.

I like the way this has a community feel to it. I could not do this without the help and advise given to me.

There's a 101 driving car at the Spa Valley (Tunbridge Wells). Not sure what state it's in though.
