Hey,
Well looking around the forum, I saw kevmt's new released steam loco's. Good news that some is having success! So with the new patch I'm now going to just sit here and keep getting more jealous of kevmt
So I have designed to put one in my self! Yep a steam tram...Not really a loco you would put in first time but hay we all have to start with something simple!
Pic as an export for Trainz...
Quite detailed textures! Also simple bogey animation would been needed!
I'll post again when I have more details to share!
Cheers,
Mike

How about a class 50 instead of a tram?

Looking very nice though. How are you modelling the bell cable?

Is it me or is there something weird about how that loco's sitting on the tracks? It could just be me but it sort of looks like it's sloping down forwards. Nice model though.

It's a bug. Rolling stock, especially short wheelbase, will dip downwards if placed on a gradient, especially noticeable on steep grades. It visually appears to be about double the track gradient. Unfortunately, it will keep this orientation relative to the track even when driven on to the flat or down the other side!
If you initially place the stock on the level, it'll be OK, parallel to the track and stay that way, even if driven onto a steep gradient.

I've noticed that if you then save with the train on a gradient, then even though it looks ok when you save, the problem will appear when you reload. It almost looks as if the gradient is being applied to the stock in reverse.
Locos looking good, Peter.

Kevin

The gradient issue is a known bug and on our list.

On the 2-4-2T No. 10647, I thought the front left tyre was flat.
Is it available for downloading, flat tyre and all?

No, a long way to go yet. This is just the highest LOD and shadow models. There's a lot of texture work yet until I'm happy with it, and I still need more resources to finish the cab details.
