Hi Derek, I have been talking to the person on the RS forum who has been making the Bishop Auckland branch line and he is doing an excellent job. At least the area is getting some intense coverage.

Err, no, that would be the person that Derek referred to two posts previously. The one that has made a modern day version.

And another!
I've laid most of the lines radiating out west from Stockton on Tees to the ECML. Although I've only gone as far east as Billingham and Thornaby.
I've used the Newcastle-York route as the basis for it. As Gav stated, adding scenery is proving rather daunting, especially as I'm building a lot of custom objects So right now I'm concentrating on detailing the Bowesfield Junction to Corporation Quay branch, all of 1.5 miles!
My route is set in the '60s and I will continue to make all of my content available on UKtrainsim as it is completed.

Perhaps you were thinking of the third track that was lifted before the electrification of the ECML?

Btw, today darlington does not have a second track running adjacent to platform 1, it's now single track through plats. 1 and 4.

EDIT: After looking into images taken by a friend, i would like to apologies for the above comment it is wrong. Gav is right.

Looking good! :) :P

If you are finding the scenery daunting/ boring, my advice is to do a little bit somewhere then whiz somewhere else and do something a bit different, then keep going somewhere else and so on adding scenery and eventually it will all come together alot quicker and you will feel much better rather than slogging along on the same stretch of track for weeks on end :)

Kind regards

bang on! I do the same thing, and it is a lot more fun than doing it systematically, and sometimes I just run through all the library looking at the opbjects and thinking "that could go there..." and I find I get a very detailed route done a lot quicker than the systematic way, anyway. if youre doing any area round here, they all look great and keepup the good work(may I suggest different topics for each, so we can distinguish the posts between the many routes)

thanks,

Hi Bob, nothing extra to show on my route yet. I am currently in the process of setting my own business up among other things so I am having to devote time to other "pleasures" at times. Hope to get some more work done very soon though.

Haven't been able to do much recently due to other commitments but I have had some time today so I thought I would try and learn a bit more starting with adding scenery and bulding the station at Eaglescliffe. Hopefully with Christmas coming up, I can start devoting a lot more time to the project.
