First time for everything I guess. Today, I decided to see about setting up a length of electrified track just for fun. I chose track, and made sure I had wire added to it. Looked nice... Then I found some masts, and discovered that it didn't seem possible to add the masts like you add a fence, with the offset option. This would be a good way of speedily adding masts, without the hassle of manually adding and positioning each one over a long section of track, and have them all uniformly-spaced as well.
IS it possible to do this with the offset method, or not ? If not, well, that's a real shame I reckon, as it would be a good idea completely, in my opinion. Anyone else got anything to say on the matter ? If you've done this, then what's your idea as to the fastest and neatest way to lay poles ?

Catenary Poles...

Re: Catenary Poles...
Hi,
Under track rules, there is a "O-Wire Gantry Tool" & "S-Wire Gantry Tool" Rule, which when selected, and the yellow Gizmo is placed over the track, automatically places Catenary at set intervals as defined in the relevant rule.
O = Oxford / Paddington type (Concrete Poles), and
S = Hagen / Siegen (Metal Lattice Poles).
Hope this helps
Cheers

Tried that, and it seems to work well enough. I was getting apprehensive as I approached a station with just an island platform, wondering what would happen, but going over the points at one end, the single poles spread out into poles on each side of the platform, and reverted back to single after the next set of points ! Amazing, and very handy, thankyou !
Learning more all the time, thanks to the help afforded by others like yourself. Cheers.
