Hi all,
I just wanted to let those interested know that a new utility for KRS has been made available for download. Feel free to check it out at
http://jkansoft.net/software. I've also uploaded a very brief primer on how to use it. Any comments or feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Enjoy,
jkxx
(P.S. I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but my utility deals with route building so thought might as well. Please feel free to move this thread if I posted in the wrong place.)

Hello.
Sorry but I can't get onto that URL. It appears to be looping on entry.
If this is a general problem, I hope you can fix it.
But I'm going to bed.
Regards,
Michael

No issues with the website here. I'm looking forward to trying out the new software.

Initial trial worked like a charm. Using the center terrain window will allow one to select only the tiles to be updated. Will you be adding a feature to show route series makers so that the map view is easier to navigate?
All in all, a very useful and time-saving utility. Well done!
Off to experiment!

Hi John,
I'm using Internet Explorer and Win XP - obviously there is something on the site that IE doesn't like.
Cheers

Woops.. for those having issues, please try
http://jkansoft.mine.nu/cgi-bin/jkansoft.cgi?page=7 and hopefully this will resolve it. I have heard a few reports of the looping happening but so far can't pin it down to anything other than it seems to be a bit more common with IE. Thanks for the feedback though, will investigate.
So far I haven't included markers but it seems that'll be a good idea, will probably look into it

I have downloaded, unzipped, and run the application.
First time loading a route, I get many many dos flashes and when they eventually stop, I get a view of the different tiles in my route.
When I choose a tile to populate with trees, I get a dos flash.
Then when I open the route in Rail Simulator, no trees are there.
How does this new app work, and what are some basic instructions for operation?

Downloaded no problem and then followed instructions on website. Double clicking on the .exe just throws up the error "krstool has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell Microsoft about this problem". Rechecked everything and get the same result.
I'm running XP SP3 and .Net Framework 2.0 and have all the necessary permissions setup. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
Nick
